FUNDRAISING - HOLD YOUR OWN DANCE!

Several schools in the neighborhood hold dances as a yearbook fundraiser, why not you?

At my local high school where my wife is the yearbook finance adviser, their annual Winter Wonderland Ball is held right before the Christmas break. Yours truly was the official photographer (and chaperone, need those) for the event. Tickets were sold in advance; group pictures and shots with Santa cost just a little extra. Over $2,000 was raised for their yearbook.

What to do? Secure the gym or cafeteria for a night. Get a local DJ for the music; perhaps a student with some experience and a great music collection could handle this. Have your staff do some cool decorating and work the event, then have fun!!
