JOSTENS DIRECT SOLUTIONS BOOK SELLING PROGRAM
Tired of handling your yearbook sale all by yourself? Can't keep track of all of the receipts? Scores of parents are calling you about your sale? Has money been misplaced or stolen?
An answer that has worked for many schools across the region is our outstanding Jostens Direct Solutions program. Called JDS, the program will take a lot of the hassle of book selling off your shoulders, allowing you and your staff to concentrate on producing this year's book!
What are the highlights??
- From the information we enter, JDS produces blank order forms for every student. Or you provide the information we need (names of students, home addresses, etc.) and we can pre-print your forms. We then hold a yearbook ordering day when every student will fill out their yearbook form. When well organized as part of homeroom or perhaps a yearbook assembly, ordering is done quickly and easily.
- A goal is to get every student to fill out an order form, even those who have no interest in your yearbook. Why? For those who choose No on their order form, JDS sends that family one mailing several weeks later, trying to entice the parents into buying your book. An incentive for this student to fill our their form is the $50 sweepstakes - Jostens sends you a $50 check with your materials. Any student who fills out an order form is eligible to win the $50, drawn by you after ordering day.
- No one brings money to school, a principal's dream! After ordering day, those who chose to order a book are billed at home, receiving up to three separate billings. Families can pay with check or credit card, by mail or phone or even via the Jostens website.
- Students can easily order extra options if they wish, such as their name on their book, a clear cover for protection, one of our great year-in-review CD products, and more.
- Parents can easily change or cancel a student's order an any time, with no arm-twisting and no questions asked.
- You stay constantly informed on the progress of the yearbook sale and collections through your exclusive Jostens Yearbook Avenue website. If a student comes to you with a question about their order ("Did my mom pay yet?"), you'll have the information in just a few mouse clicks.
- Collections are automatically deposited into your Jostens yearbook account. And maybe best of all, Pennsylvania sales tax is also collected and automatically remitted to Harrisburg. There's no need for you to do anything.
- When the time comes to make your final order of items to Jostens, you and I get together to compare the figures from your Yearbook Avenue website, then submit your order. You'll then receive a final distribution report before your yearbooks arrive so it's clear who gets what on Distribution Day.
