TESTIMONIALS ABOUT SCOTT AND JOSTENS
I'm always honored to get testimonials and thanks from yearbook advisers and students across my region...
It may be the world record of sorts - my friends at Brookville High in Jefferson County have been creating their yearbook with Jostens and Jostens-related companies since 1956. If there's a school with a longer streak with one company I have not yet discovered them. My friend and long-time Brookville adviser Dixie Piper retired in June 2008 and later greatly honored Jostens and me with these kind words...
"Working with Jostens made my 15+ years as an adviser easier and more rewarding. It really is an 'industry-leading' company. Its programs, tech support and general customer service are exceptional. I am one who often judges a company by its employees. People like you, (plant consultant) Micah (Martin) and the friendly staff at the State College plant make Jostens look even better.
"Scott, I think you were my fourth Jostens rep...I can truthfully say that I have watched you become an 'industry-leading' yearbook representative."
I love my job, and it's words like these that make it easy to go to work each day. Many thanks Dixie!!

It doesn't get much better than this - many thanks to my friend Sheryl Mondock, who served as the adviser at Troy High in Bradford County for three years. As her first yearbook was completed Sheryl wrote me in mid-August 2006, honoring Jostens and me with her words...
"Jostens is awesome; you are awesome; my yearbook is awesome; life is good! In case you didn’t figure it out, I just saw the first of our yearbooks that were delivered yesterday. Thank you to everyone at Jostens for making my first yearbook look good! I’m actually looking forward to doing this again this year. I can’t believe I am actually saying that, but I am just so excited after seeing this yearbook."
And Sheryl and her staff followed that up with another terrific 2007 yearbook in the midst of a major school renovation project. Jostens and our fantastic YearTech Online truly do make it EASY!!

Here are some kind words from Zach Hoffman, the 2005 yearbook editor at Elk County Catholic High School in St. Marys, PA, which used our exclusive YearTech Online tool to create their book...
"First of all, let me tell you that the entire ECC community is VERY happy with the yearbook! I myself think that it is truly one of our best books yet...We are truly very happy with everything. The cover, the all-color book, the graphics...everything was simply top-notch!... Thank you for all your help over the year Scott. We appreciate everything!"

I've been honored to work with my friends at Sayre High in Bradford County since 2003. And yearbook adviser Lee Shoemaker honored me with a testimonial letter a while back that's hard to beat; I actually blushed when I read her kind words. Click here to read Lee's testimonial, in a Word document.

It doesn't happen often but I was honored to be part of a newspaper article about the
yearbook at Calvary Christian Academy in Huntingdon. Adviser Becky Coleman and her staff do a terrific job with their yearbook every year, working hard to produce some stylish layouts with lots of great photos that really tell the story of their school year. CCA uses their yearbook as a great recruiting tool for new teachers and students. Click here to see the story from the Huntingdon newspaper.

But surprise, it happened again in January 2009 when my friends at Central Catholic Middle School in DuBois
honored me by taking a picture of me during a session with their yearbook students and placed the shot in their local paper. Click here to see the story from the DuBois newspaper. And Many Thanks!

Not all of our work is school yearbooks...Jostens also publishes many kinds of books through our State College Commercial department. Several years ago I was honored to assist the Standard Schnauzer Club of America, the national organization of Schnauzer breeders, to produce their first Source Book in 30 years. The Source book is the "bible" of Schnauzers, with over 400 pages of information on lineage, champions and more. SSCA's Pat North worked diligently to produce the material for the book, then honored the State College plant and me with her words below...
"What a huge project. Where a company shows their mettle is when problems come up. All the way through this project (years!), you folks have patiently worked out - and helped me figure out the answers to each complication and trouble. Everyone there that I've worked with has been wonderfully skilled at their part of the job and has shown real ownership. Believe me, I've worked with companies that have been difficult every step of the way. It's been refreshing to work with such a group as yours."
